[THE INFORMATION BELOW CONCERNS STUDENTS FROM GROUPS 3E, 3F, 3G AND 3H]
Hi everyone!
Here's a list of topics for your next week's essays. Remember: just one piece of writing of about 125 words. Essays can be submitted via email or in class.

- Have you ever tried to lose weight? Explain what you did and why you were or were not successful.
- Write an email to a friend about how you take care of yourself.
-Write an essay recommending your favourite book.
- Use the following opening line of a short story by William Gibson to write one of your own:
The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel...

And now, a list of talking points to use in class next Thursday:

1. Do you read books? Why /why not? What kind of books do you read?
2. How do you decide which books to read?
3. What is your favourite book? What is it about?
4. Who is your favourite author? Why?
5. Which book would you recommend for a reading club? Why?
6. Which book would you never read? Why?
7. Where do you usually read?
8. Which do you prefer, paper books or e-books? Why?
9. How has online publishing affected the publishing industry?
10. How have e-books changed reading habits over the last five years?
